I used 1/8" x 1/2" flat bar and cold bent it using a larger diameter pipe as a die. Then fit everything together, welded and painted flat black. I had the glass cut and installed using a standard rubber gasket used for this purpose. For welding reasons, galvanized was not a good choice. But it was cheap.
